Green tracing sticks are a type-1 low fusing impression compound, supplied in stick form and composed of thermoplastic material. This low-fusing material is primarily utilized for border extensions on custom impression trays, achieving uniform plasticity. It attains a high viscosity at comfortable temperatures ranging from 55-65°C, making it ideal for tasks such as recording the full depth of the sulcus, outlining borders during impression-making for removable dental prosthesis, and capturing functional and relining impressions. Notably, it provides an extensive working area due to its extended working time and exhibits rapid hardening when immersed in cold water.
