Waldent FissureSeal is a light-curing, fluoride-releasing dental sealant designed to provide exceptional protection for occlusal surfaces. Its optimal flow characteristics enable deeper penetration, resulting in a tighter seal that enhances mechanical retention. The unique resin system of FissureSeal reduces shrinkage, ensuring a tighter seal that offers superior protection against decay and bacteria. FissureSeal's inorganic filler component is specially designed to maximize fluoride release, offering long-term benefits for patients

- Remove minimal caries from pits and fissures using small round burs in a slow-speed handpiece, being careful not to extend beyond the affected area.
- Rinse thoroughly with water and isolate the tooth.
- Ensure the surface is dry by using clean, dry, oil-free air before etching
- Apply 37% phosphoric acid, like Waldent BestEtch, on the occlusal surface for 10-15 seconds, not exceeding 30 seconds.
- Thoroughly rinse with water
- Completely dry the tooth surface with oil-free air for 15 seconds.
- Place Waldent FissureSeal on the prepared tooth surface.
- Use the Waldent Eco Plus LED Light Curing Unit or any other LED curing light to cure the sealant for 20 seconds.
