Indications:

  • Direct Pulp Capping: Dentical LC is applied directly on the exposed pulp to stimulate the formation of secondary dentin and preserve the vitality of the pulp.
  • Indirect Pulp Capping: The material is used on carious dentin to prevent further bacterial invasion and promote the natural regeneration of dentin.
  • Pulp Protection: Dentical LC is applied underneath composite or glass ionomer cement restorations to safeguard the pulp from potential thermal or chemical injury.
  • Pulpotomy: In primary teeth, Dentical LC liners can be used for pulpotomy procedures, where the coronal portion of the pulp is removed, and the liner is placed on the remaining pulp tissue to promote healing and maintain tooth vitality.
  • Cavity Liner: Dentical LC can be applied as a liner in deep cavities to promote remineralization of dentin and provide thermal insulation, helping to protect the tooth structure.

Contraindications:

  • Patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
  • Patients with irreversible pulpitis or pulp necrosis.
  • Patients with periapical pathology or infection.

Composition

  • Calcium Hydroxide (40%)
  • Urethane Dimethacrylate Resin
  • Triethylene Glycol Dimethacrylate
  • Silanated Barium Glass
  • Amorphous Fumed Silica
  • Barium Sulphate (5% Radiopaque Filler)

Storage

  • Store the product in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Keep the syringe cap tightly closed when not in use.
  • Do not freeze or refrigerate the product.

Packaging

  • 1 x 2gm syringe  
  • 2 x Black Tip (20 gauge)  

Direction To Use

  • Prepare the cavity and remove any carious or infected dentin. Rinse and dry the cavity.
  • Dispense a small amount of light cure calcium hydroxide paste on a mixing pad or a disposable applicator tip.
  • Apply a thin layer of the Dentical LC paste on the desired area using an applicator tip. Avoid contact with soft tissues or saliva.
  • Cure the material with a halogen light for about 40 seconds. Keep the light source as close as possible to the surface (about 1-2 mm).
  • After curing, inspect the liner for any defects or inadequate coverage. Make any necessary adjustments or additions to ensure proper coverage and adhesion. Remove any excess material if needed.
  • Proceed with the placement of restorative material of choice or as required.
